Challenge 14

Gosh it's already Challenge 14 over on CHNC - over a quarter of the year gone already!

This weeks challenge is to use foliage & or flowers on your Xmas card

so I've used holly leaves.

I stamped the leaves out & then cut them out.

If I remember rightly this was a free stamp from a craft magazine 

that came in a set of 4

I stamped the background using Galaxy Gold ink &

used a gold liquid pen to highlight the veins

& added the buttons for 'berries' to give a bit more dimension.

I stamped the sentiment in green to match the leaves but in the photo it looks black!

A bit last minute again but I've made it in time for the deadline :-)

Seasonal Silver

Over on CHNC this week the theme is Seasonal Silver.

I've had rather a busy week on the non crafting  side of life so am just sneaking in my entry before I'm off out to a gig tonight!

The background is stamped with silver ink, but try as I might it doesn't show up very well on the photo! In real life it is more silvery :-)

I used my Xmas pudding stamp which I coloured with my Copics, 

then cut out & mounted on sticky fixers.

Then to finish added the merry christmas sentiment 

stamped directly onto the card.

Simple but I hope effective ......

Xmas embossing

Over on CHNC blog this week it's embossing

this is my entry

I used my Sizzix embossing plates to emboss the holly

and then heat embossed the berries using a glittery red 

embossing powder to accentuate them

I stamped out the circular sentiment

& then stamped & embossed the YOU in the same 

embossing powder as the berries.

I used plain red to surround the sentiment & 

a piece of red ribbon across the card

So there you have it - my entry for Hazel's challenge

I'd also like to enter it for the Bah! Humbug - embossing challenge

The White Stuff

is the theme for the challenge over on CHNC this week

I opted for the mostly white card & used an embossing folder snowflakes for the textured background

finished it with the Happy Christmas sentiment stamped onto red vellum, mounted on white card & popped on top of the red ribbon.

A Santa for Hazel

for her Xmas challenge blog.....

This time she has asked for a Santa on the card

so here is mine.........

using my Paper Artsy stamp stamped in brown ink 

& matted onto a red boarder. 

I inked the edges for a vintage look in keeping with the stamp.

The Merry Xmas sentiment was treated in the same way 

& mounted on top of the ribbon with the brown pearls added.

Bling for Hazel!

This is my card this week for Hazel's Xmas card challenge blog

The theme this week is Bling

I added stickles to the black stamped image for the 'bling'

to bring out the halo's & star.

I used icicle stickles for the tree's to represent snow.

Angel Xmas card

This is another Xmas card

I did make my daughter's birthday card today but I can't reveal until later - don't want to spoil the surprise!

The background is stamped onto the card.

the angel was stamped out in silver ink & then cut out, outlined with stickles & mounted on sticky fixers.

I used silver craft wire (from a set of different coloured wires that I've had for ages!) to make the halo. I wound the wire round a pen to get the round shape & then twisted the ends together & popped it behind the head.

I was going for the simple but striking look :-)

Mind you it took quite a while to produce this 'simple' card!! :-)

I've finally done it!

Made my first Xmas card of the year!

Most of my Xmas cards are quick to make as I have a lot to make & send out.

I'd like to enter this in the Quick & cute challenge over on the mytimetocraftchallenge blog

Just love this Santa image - it really doesn't need a lot of anything & lends itself to simple treatment :-)
