Retirement Card

Just heard that a friend of ours is retiring - so here is the card I made for him today.

It will be winging it's way across the pond to the USA very soon.

The sentiment seemed very apt :-)

Mounted on Nestie shapes

Retirement was cut out of mount board with my Sizzix Go slim alphabet (upper & lower case) which I inked & then mounted onto the ribbons.

The circular sentiment was a gift from a crafting friend :-)

and the person this is for is indeed Special! :-)

Wish the colours had come out better in the photo - it does look better in real life - honest :-)

Object D'Art

This was my starting point for the Object D'Art challenge 'The Frame'




This was the finished frame. the photo is of my first car - a Mini (original type!!) I used old car keys & key fobs along with stamps to decorate the alcohol inked base. The Mini wording was die cut using Go Slim Sizzix coloured with whisper pens & highlighted with a silver pen. Metal glue came in useful in this project!



Loved creating this :-) Thanks Jennie for the challenge :-) It's amazing what sort of things you find have been kept isn't it!!

Maddy's favourite!

Why is it Maddy's favourite you may ask ......................................

Well it's Maddy's favourite when it's full of sweeties!!

It's the tin I keep in the car for our expeditions :-) It started out in life as a travel sweet tin. I then, after washing it out, alcohol inked it (& unlike Calv didn't put flames anywhere near my alcohol ink!!) I then cut out weety with my Go slim sizzix alphabet in mount board & used another alphabet for the S - I then inked the letters & used a white gel pen to do the x's & then stuck them on the lid.

Hmmmm - went out with Maddy this afternoon - maybe need to replenish the stocks in the tin :-) - The fairies ate them!
