Birthday Card for BIL

This is the Birthday Card that I made for my BIL over in the USA - we share the same birthday :-) As the day was yesterday I can now reveal the card :-) It was featured on Crafts by Carolyn as a challenge card but I figured that he wouldn't visit there!

Supportive card

This is a card for a friend of mine who has been an unfortunate part of the recession & lost her job :-( This is a card to tell her that I'm supporting her efforts to find work & thinking about her & sending her a smile ................................

Mothers Day card

I made this Mothers Day card again using Copic markers to colour in. Colours would again fit the Copic Challenge. Again I've had trouble photographing the colour purple - the flowers aren't blue, they are purple!! After all the cute girlie images I decided to use Hamish - boys send cards to their mothers don't they? Didn't seem to go down well with the male of the family though - oh well ..............................................

The inside of the card has some flowers, stamped, coloured & cut out & of course the sentiment.

Copics Colour Challenge

This is my card for the Copics Colour Challenge 4 Although I now have a few more Copics I don't have that many so had to use the nearest colours I could so the yellow is YO6 rather than YO8.

The middle of the flower is made from shrink plastic - didn't want to waste the bits left over the from the other day :-)

50th Birthday Card

Today I managed to make a 50th birthday card for a family member. Just a bit of background to show where my thinking came from. He now works abroad but spent time in Weymouth as a young man in the Navy before leaving the Navy for the private sector hence the watery colours, map ref & planes & journey sentiments.

The 'You are here' sentiment I stamped onto white shrink plastic, remembered to put the hole in for the brad, heated & voila had my sentiment tile which i think works quite well. I inked the edges to tie in with the inked edges elsewhere on the card.
