Diamond Wedding card

This is the Diamond Wedding card that I was commissioned to make for Mum's neighbours to send to family members in the UK!
The brief was to produce something simple but classy with no mushy stuff! So this is what I came up with & have just delivered it to very pleased recipients :-)

We chose the lilac ribbon & I opted for a simple bow.

I used one of Mum's congratulation stamps which I stamped in lilac & matted onto a lilac border & fixed onto the card with sticky fixers to raise it up.

I cut the edge using decorative edge scissors & inked it to enhance the edge.
And then added the 3 diamonds (a tiny bit of bling!) in the corner.

Not perhaps my usual style but well received by the commissioners :-)

Sunday sketch & stamp challenge

This is the sketch for the challenge on Sunday sketch & stamp.

And this is my card made using the sketch.

I used co-ordinating papers & some spotted ribbon.

and one of Mum's pergamano stamps. As I hadn't got the jewel colours I wanted for the peacock I let him speak for himself & left him uncoloured. I used the blooms & buttons in appropriate colours.

Again I've struggled with the photography.....

Crafting away from home

Just made this card using the sketch provided by Karen over on the Charmed Craft Talk forum. Apologies for the quality of the photo's but I'm away from home & struggling with the lighting to get good pics

I used papers from the 6x6 stack that I bought on my trip to Paper2 in Mornington - I've sent the stack home with my son & can't remember the details!

The cute little lady is one of my Mum's stamps & I used buttons bought from the local market which is held on a Sunday morning & blooms that I bought in Big W & I coloured the image using Mum's Prisma's - I miss my Copics which are still in my craft room at home ..................

The corner is stamped Just for you.

The big Reveal

At long last I can reveal my latest project - it has been kept under wraps because the recipient looks on my blog on a daily basis! & I am now with Mum in Oz again for her 80th birthday yesterday.
We had a lovely celebration :-)
So this is the box I made which matches the card inside.

This is a close up of the corner of the box.
I used some of the blooms from my blog candy - aren't they gorgeous! & appropriate for the occasion :-)
I also used some pearl & crystal gems & my Martha Stewart doily edge punch & some co-ordinating ribbon.

The card was wrapped in gold tissue paper ..............

Which opened to reveal the card .......

I used my nestabilities to cut the mats for the important digits which were chipboard numbers which I covered with the co-ordinating paper.
I added pearls and the corner of the card is what I echo'd on the box.
I rounded the corners of the card & used co-ordinating ribbon for the bows.

Happy 80th Birthday Mum :-)
