Pearl Anniversary Card

It's my sister & brother -in-law's Pearl Wedding Anniversary on Monday - Congratulations to them! :-) This is the card that I've made for them - it's in the hands of the Royal Mail now ........................

I used my Martha Stewart edge punch, my new nestabilities set & pearl embelishments along with the chipboard numbers which happened to be on the counter of the local craft shop when we popped in on Friday afternoon - great as they were just what I needed!!

I painted the numbers with acrylic paint & then use Tim Holtz crackle paint over the top & used alcohol ink in red to enhance the crackle.

I added blooms which I used pearl brads to follow the theme.

A LO Challenge

This is the layout that I've done for the second part of Lea's challenge over at Charmed Craft Talk.

The challenge was to pick a colour from the photo you were using & use just that colour for the LO, also to use stamping on your LO.

So I chose the red from the sign in my photo, then cropped the photo & printed out the sign slightly larger so that it was prominent & readable. I used my new monkey stamp - isn't he cute? I used my Sizzix dies to cut the frame round the photo (from vellum paper so I use vellum glue to stick) & for the flourishes as well which reminded me of the jungle vines as they curl ......................

See the monkey in the corner? The journaling is on the back :-)

As you can see here!

Cuppa!

I found these cups & saucers in our local Charity Shop

And this is the result after a trip into my craft room this morning.

I used florists oasis to hold the flowers & tied ribbon round the top edge, just love the spotty ribbon!

I used one of the buttons that a friend sent to me, a nice big one to make a bit of a statement .............

The saucer I stamped using blue stazon ink and my clarity stamp of a cup & saucer - rather appropriate I thought :-) I heat set the stazon & then tested it & it seems to be washable (by hand anyway!) I then added the pearl embellishments.

I have a few more cups & saucers to play with, some more 'cup' shaped :-)

Daring Cardmakers If the shoe fits challenge card

This is my card for the challenge over at Daring Cardmakers - If the shoe fits - challenge.

This is a close up of the corner stamp I used, it fitted perfectly :-)

The shoe stamp I stamped then tinted with copics. I used my Martha Stewart deep edge punch & my new Nellies multi frames.

Friday Sketchers challenge card

This is my card for the Friday Sketchers challenge.

I coloured the Magnolia image with Copics & matted it onto the nestability scalloped ovals that I cut & embossed using my Big Shot.

Whiff of Joy challenge card

This is my card for the Whiff of Joy challenge. This time it's a recipe 1 ribbon 2 buttons & 3 papers.

The leaves were punched using my Martha Stewart branch punch & the swirl was cut using my Big Shot & Sizzix Bigs die.

The sentiment was stamped & then punched out & matted onto the punched scalloped circle.

The image was coloured using Copic pens & I used my new dies to cut the shapes that she is mounted on.

More Easter baskets

These are the Easter baskets that MIL & I made during our crafty afternoon :-)

Pink Easter Basket

This is the Easter basket that I made for my MIL & for the Charmed Cards members challenge. I made the basket using 12x12 double sided paper & then used my Martha Stewart doiley punch to make the edging. I added blooms & pearl brads & ribbon on the handle. The round tag was stamped & cut out using a punch & the edge inked & mounted on another circle scalloped punch & a button in the centre. The other tag was hand cut & stamped with the Happy Easter sentiment & again inked round the edge.

The chocolate bunny is looking after the eggs in the basket! :-) which are on a bed of shredded kitchen roll (we are away in the Yorkshire Dales & I only have a few crafty bits with me to play with)
